Ronald William Walker
Forward (1955)
Signed by Watford on amateur forms long before he turned professional, he spent one season on the staff before being transfer-listed with a fee of £1,000 on his head, which the Football League overturned by granting him a free transfer. Ron Walker was an inside- or outside-left who, in addition to his three Third Division (South) outings, played in two of the popular floodlit friendlies of the mid-1950s and scored in a 2-1 win against Third Lanark.
