Raymond Train
Midfielder (1978-1982)
Ray Train joined Walsall on two occasions, separated by nearly two decades during which he turned out for eight other Football League clubs and achieved promotion with four of them (lastly Watford) in the space of six seasons. Although as a tidy and busy little midfielder he made well over five hundred League appearances, the goal he scored on his Watford début was one of only 24 he scored in the competition in his whole career.
