Felix Michel Ngonge
Forward (1998-2000)
Michel Ngonge arrived at Watford as a 31-year-old for his first experience of English football, having left his Turkish club under a clause in his contract which entitled him to a free transfer if he wasn’t paid for 60 days, which is what happened. As the 1998/99 season approached its climax, this strong and pacy striker scored the only goal of the first leg of the Play-off Semi-final against Birmingham City and was a member of the side which triumphed at Wembley Stadium and took the club into the FA Premier League.
