Reuben John Marden
Winger / Centre-forward (1955-1956)
His First Division record in five years at Highbury (42 appearances, 11 goals) was almost identical to the Football League totals he ran up during his shorter stay at Vicarage Road (41, 11) as a fast and direct left-winger who could also play at centre- forward. With Arsenal Reserves he won a Football Combination championship medal in 1950/51 (11 goals in 18 games). Ben Marden scored on his Watford début, and later hit every goal when the Reserves beat Swindon Town 5-0 in March 1956.
