ATTENDANCES: Published figures over the years have often been at variance with audited (and unpublished) Football League gate returns, which survive from 1925/26. In the past there has also been confusion over season tickets – sometimes included in published attendances, and sometimes not. Where discrepancies are apparent, audited Football League figures are provided here.
